Cerro Gordo Road Flood Study & Conveyance Design

About the Project

The City of Santa Fe has been awarded a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant through the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (NMDHSEM) for a Flood Study and Engineering Design for Cerro Gordo Road where it crosses the Santa Fe River. The primary goal of this project is to design a new Cerro Gordo Road drainage crossing capable of handling a 100-year storm event. This project will specifically account for the future realignment of the Santa Fe River through the Two-Mile Pond Complex and will support public safety. This work includes a comprehensive hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis, and the development of 100% construction-ready documents. Stakeholder and public engagement will be prioritized throughout the analysis and design process.
